Darkelve
i can't access the internet from the linux machine. well... any idea why not? did it work under windows? Did you try the Mandrake Control Center, what network card are you using etc... etc...
noob
if i boot windows, i can access the lan ok, but the internet is not accessable. when linux is booting, it says starting eth0 of somthing similar, waits about a minuite then fails it. i can't set up the network in linux as i am a bit rusty. it is a realtec summin or other and it detects it and installs the driver (they are called drivers on linux i hope) i just cant get it set-up. tyme
post about it in the networking forum if you haven't already, and i'm sure someone will be glad to help you out :)
ramfree17
who configures your network/workstation? you might not have dhcp on your network (or you are not pointing to the correct dns server). you can view your network settings in windows and just implement them in linux. but liquidzoo is right. wine is a moving target so it would be better to use the latest build if you can (downloading nightly build or via CVS). just a thought. ciao!
