  1. One of the causes of errors is the FILE SIZE of an ISO file. Some of the older version of burning apps failed to detect the exact file size and instead rounded it up (example: in a MandrakeLinux10.0-Official-Download-CD1.i586.iso the exact file size is 694MB but some of the older versions of burner read as 711MB which is critical and exceeded the limitations of CD which is only 700MB). Use the Latest version of Nero or any other burning software.

  2. Yes i agree with you Lowe.

Contributing to an opensource software development is a will and not an option. I know Mandrakelinux need some financial support to survive but for me, its up to the Mandrake users.

Like the CD-4 of MDK is only for the MandrakeClub Members to download.

  3. Just reset the MBR(Master Boot Record) by typing: fdisk /mbr

then it will boot under WindowsXP environment.....then go to C:\ and look for boot.ini then add the linux location (vmlinuz) i dont know exactly the syntax...Then SAVE and restart the system........

The Windows Boot loader will now the default bootloader instead of LILO.

  4. I guess one of the advantage of becoming a MandrakeClub member if i am right is, you'll never have to find each of all the 3rd party commercial softwares to download. It is in the CD-4 ISO file.

    Like installing LISA....it needs CD4......

    :D
