Today Eugeni Dodonov (Mandriva SA) replied to Bugzilla:
-
Tonight i gave it another try, adding PLF-repositories through EasyUrpmi. Whereas i could not realise this since the earlier Mandriva updates, it seems all is back in order. This is no guarantee for probable other issues connected to the earlier mentioned update. But i think main problems are solved right now. Up to the 22nd of December, the release of Mandriva 2010.2!!!!!!
-
Problems also concern PowerPack-users. This message in Bugzilla just appeared:
-
Problems concerning Mandriva-repositories for 2010.2 seem to be solved. This is still not the case for the PLF-repositories as shown in the following reaction in Bugzilla.
-
Saw your remark in the Bugzilla daniewicz. Nice job, any information is helpful, i guess.
-
For example i am having problems adding PLF-repositories since the aforementioned updates.
-
daniewicz, Maybe interesting info for Bugzilla? Probably you have the possibility filing this to Bug 61941?
-
Latest addition in Bugzilla concerning urpmi-issue:

Reaction from Mandriva-team-member doesn't really make me feel better, as to be found on the cooker mailing-list:

Want to warn all, that the latest updates to 2010.1 breaks the package-manager. See Bugzilla! There is a workaround described, but warranties cannot be given.
-
By "setting executable flag" you mean "chmod +x"?
-
For me Mandriva is especially MCC. The place to be to configure the system. I always reckoned MCC the heart of Mandriva. Would miss it handling configuration, and making choice for another distro easier.
-
All the recent changes/problems were a showstopper for me (my wife actually) stopping use of once so much loved KMail. Now she is handling her electronic mail through Thunderbird, and i never hear any complaints anymore, for where it concerns e-mail that is ;-).
-
You are quite right there. Got the same catalog-page you experienced. So it is just a lucky shot where you got at some time.
-
AussieJohn exactly tells what i would have said about this plan. Hope we all have good times ahead with the Mageia-guys and girls.
-
A really critical bug, when you ask me.
-
One by one they are leaving - the well-known names at Mandriva. Cooker mailing list
-
Exactly that!!!
-
Used about the same routine as AussieJohn a couple of weeks ago, and it works fine. Went into the Downloads-directory and issued chmod +x GoogleEarthLinux.bin, and after that ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin

By the time i answered your question, it was mentioned by Anne Nicolas (Mandriva SA). That on the Mandriva Cooker Mailinglist at 11:20 this morning local time. Now you can find releasedate at: http://wiki.mandriva.com/en/2010.1_Development

Mandriva Spring (2010.1) will be released at July 8th.
-
Then i would suggest Lindora - fits like Isadora.

Thanks scarecrow, that makes me stay with version 10.0.45.2.
