  1. are you able to see the SSID broadcast ?..
  2. Is your Linux actting as router/firewall ?..if not why dont you connect your modem/router to linksys and from there connect eth0 and other pc's..you should be having 4 port with your linksys ? anyway ..this is for what you are trying to do: use static ip on both the ethernet's on linux.i saw you are using 10.0.0.0/8 .why ?.... you can use 10.0.0.0/24 on eth1. now give 192.168.1.X to your eth0 with mask 255.255.255.0 and default gateway 192.168.1.1 ( if this is your router's IP ) for eth1, give 10.0.0.1 ,255.255.255.0 default gate way as 192.168.1.1 (should be same as on eth0) enable NAT ipforwarding and i am sure this will work. if not pls. post ifconfig -a and route. Greetings,

thanks for your repply .. Say i am having two NIC , eth0 with 192.168.2.2 with 255.255.255.0 and connected to 192.168.2.1 ( so this will be the gateay for eth0 but... eth1 ? ) and the second NIC eth1 10.0.0.1 with 255.255.255.0 so what will be the gateway on these NIC's ?...
