You need to write the whole filename i think;
# rpm -iv j2re-1_4_2_13-linux-i586.rpm
-
Use easyurpmi (link at the top of this page) to set up the repositories for your computer.
Once you have done that you can navigate to install the software in MCC (configure your computer), just search for ipw2200.

YesMCC ... ? = Mandriva control center?
You have to go to Options -> Expert Mode in the MCC to see these things.I'm sorry, there's no possibility to set system security level and the periodic security audit in my control center (MDV 2007 Free). There are settings for firewall only. How to get settings for security level? Thank you! -
If you use kde you can install ksynaptics, then you can change settings from kde control center.

I'm still ( :o :unsure: ) using LE2005, I'm afraid. But thanks, anyway.

install the package 'libstdc++5'
-
ripperx is in mandriva 2007's repositories, no need to compile it yourself if it's not nessecary.
Just do a
urpmi ripperx
as root to install it (if you're using mdv2007).

try removing or reinstalling apache-mod_auth_radius-2.0.54_1.5.7-4mdk...
-
run
rpm -qa | grep apache
to see what apache-packages you have installed.

How are you trying to install it?

Is the device manager where you assign different letter to partitions?
Have you done that?

Even if it doesn't solve the problem permanently, you can save the kde session with a konsole opened, to make it work each time you start kde at least
-
you miss the
table=/dev/hda
at the vista entry...
-
most probably you need the package "lisa"...
-
run
kcmshell arts
or go to KDE ControlCenter -> Sound & Multimedia -> Sound System
and turn Auto-suspend to a lower value, then try again...
-
try turn of cache in konqueror by going to KDE ControlCenter (kcontrol) -> Internet &network -> web browser -> cache or by just running
kcmshell cache
and uncheck "use cache".

/usr/bin/amulegui

He said it wasn't in kcontrol where it should have been.Try right clicking on kicker somewhere and choose something like configure or properties. No need to edit textfiles if you don't want to do it. It can be done in a GUI.Once I had a problem with the big "icon mouseover effects", the controls should have been in kcontrol, but they wasn't. I had to solve it by adding some lines to a file.

In the file
.kde/share/config/ktaskbarrc
add a a line
ShowAllWindows=false
under [General]
If there is no [General] then simply make one line with that first.
You may have to logout/login before the changes take effect.
Hope it helps!

By running
drakboot --splash
you are able to change between installed splash-themes.
There is also a package with different themes: bootsplash-themes
-
it's a file not a directory, run
cat /etc/fstab
to display the content.
-
open a terminal and write
mkdir /mnt/old mount /dev/hdaX /mnt/old cd /mnt/old/boot/ mv <path/to/your/backup> initrd-2.6.17-5mdv.img cd umount /mnt/old
where you replace hdaX with the right partition.
You probably have to be root to do this if you do this from a livecd, I havent tried so I don't know...
