Darkelve
well, you could try to install in text mode. Maybe that will help? Edited December 3, 2003 by Darkelve
fissy
its happened to me, leaving it long enough it complains about a package the answer... try getting the cd again.
Ixthusdan
You can also install with just the first cd. That will complete the installation and you can add what you want from the remaining cd's. This has occured with other releases, so while the disk might be bad, it could also just be a marvelous fluke with your hardware combo! bvc
That happen to me with 9.1 2 times in a row. So I reinstalled and when it got to that point I did Ctrl>Alt>F? (don't remember with one but the one giving output about the packages being installed). It was freezing on evolution. Installed again in expert mode and did Individual pkg Selection and unselected evolution. No need to redownload. :P

bvc
yes, get the cd again if glibc [root@ml root]# urpmf --description glibc glibc:The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a Linux system will not function. The glibc package also contains national language (locale) support. glibc-devel:The glibc-devel package contains the header and object files necessary for developing programs which use the standard C libraries (which are used by nearly all programs). If you are developing programs which will use the standard C libraries, your system needs to have these standard header and object files available in order to create the executables. This package also includes the C header files for the Linux kernel. The header files define structures and constants that are needed for building most standard programs. The header files are also needed for rebuilding the kernel.
