opafire
Hello, I just installed Mandrake 9.2 I'm moving from Fedora Core 1. Fedora had no problem setting up my dhcp stuff for me but Mandrake doesn't seem to set this up. I'm running Mandy 9.2 on a PC I built is has a Linksys 10/100 NIC, AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 512 MB of RAM, and it is connected to a Linksys Router (4 Port) any help would be greatly appreciated. durvish
This may not be what you need but when I first installed 9.1 and set up my dsl, Mandrake asked for my log in and gave an ex. as --- login name@yourisp.com -- or something close. But it would not work until I dropped the --@yourisp.com-- and just used my login name. Just a quick thought.
opafire
yeah I don't have to worry with that. I'm not required to input any user name or anything for my connection.
durvish
One more stupid thought before it's techie time. After using MCC to config the connection (if you said yes to starting the conn. at boot) did you reboot? I always have to do this when I set up my connection with MCC. Although I haven't tried anything else --- I blame that on laziness!
opafire
yeah I rebooted.....I rebooted to the first install disc of Fedora and re-installed it. Mandrake blows!
