Ixthusdan
Windows 3.11 used a lot of command line stuff. Any system that works well is manipulated at the command line. Install a program called Midnight Commander, or mc for short. It is a gui-ish file manager, like the old dosshell, only much better. if you su and launch mc in a terminal, you will be quite happy. It is relatively intuitive to use, especially since the instructions are in front of your face, instead of memorized!
bvc
Yep, mc's as easy as it gets. I do; vi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 press i for insert scroll to Driver "nv" and change it to Driver "nvidia" press Esc : wq <hit Enter>
pmpatrick
Another vote for Midnight Commander.

Ixthusdan
Open a terminal (any of them!) You will have a blank winndow with a command prompt. type "su", enter your password. Then type "mc". Take a few minutes to look at the screen. The "F" keys are used for navigation. Highlighting a file and pressing "enter" opens the file. oing all the way to the top and pressing "enter" moves up the directory tree. When in a file, F4 opens the editor. Edit by typing and hit F2 to save. F10 closes the editor, and F10 again closes mc.
