No, he meant apt-get He's on Debian, remember?

Yes, but he is posting on Mandrake Users Board and not Debian Users Board. Just trying to keep things on track here.

My main distro is Debian, but I still have mandy installed on my small partition.I probably still will always have mandy installed.

Besides isn't there apt for rpm :P

I really like Soulseek. To me, it's the only thing I've tried that actually surpasses Napster in its prime.

There are several Linux clients:

PySoulSeek

http://www.sensi.org/~ak/pyslsk/

Is the original, written in Python. It is not really being developed anymore, although it is very bug-free and has all the features I need/want. This is what I use.

Nicotine

http://nicotine.thegraveyard.org/

This is the new client, that is pretty much taking over the PySoulSeek clone. I haven't tried it, but it's very similar (supposedly) to PySoulSeek.

Note that the Soulseek network recently experienced some DNS problems, so you'll have to reconfigure your server settings. There are details on this page:

http://nicotine.thegraveyard.org/cgi-bin/f...e=faq04.004.htp

Good luck!

Soulseek is really the best app around for downloading almost any genre of music.

I tried so many other clients but SoulSeek is the best one.

I found Pyslk to run much better than Nicotine on my MDK 9.1.
