Guest jerome187
Everytime I reboot I have to run the nvidia driver install script again and modprobe nvidia to get it working again. I tryed adding nvidia to /etc/modules but I think the nvidia module gets erased on reboot, cause the nvidia module dosent exist until i run the installer again... Anyone know whats wrong? TIA jerome187
liquidzoo
Can you give us some more info on your system? It also might not hurt if you post the device section of your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file

bnc75ohm
I had the same problem a while back and was able to solve it by adding the line nvidia to my /etc/conf file Disclaimer: I'm at work right now and don't have access to my system so the above is all from memory! check out the last article in the post: http://tinyurl.com/mbrh

Guest jerome187
I think the problem was I was loading different kernels during boot. The default one that gets selected after 10 seconds was a smp kernel and the one I usually choosed was a regular kernel. I changed my lilo conf to have its default the same one I select, and now it works fine!
