ral
Can Gnome be configured to open folders and run apps with a single click, like in KDE? Thanks.
spiedra
Try going into gnome control center and look for setting that option in there.

spiedra
I remember in MDK 8.1, there was a way of doing it in Gnome Control Center. I supose I better have a look if that is still the case.
spiedra
Okay guys. You have to go into Nautilus > Edit > Preferences > Icon & List View and check " activate on single click ".

ral
Thanks spiedra. I have been using KDE since I started using Linux. I have been using Gnome, mainly out of curiosity. I like KDE better though. The absence of feedback while a porgram is launching took sometime to get used to. Luckily the double click probelm has been fixed :) This are my two main issues against Gnome. Now its down to one. I read somewhere that Gnome really does not give any feedback when you launch an apt (other than the apt launching a few seconds later). Will use this for a few more days, since it runs a bit faster, before I decide (not that KDE is a slouch on my PC - XP1700 with 256MB of DDR RAM), but if I were to install it in an older PC, I would probably go for Gnome.
