Kieth
With Firefox, I can get on the Yalp! web site http://www.yalp.alice.it/tv/index.html?cha...p__tv_4_canale1 but with konqueror I get the following message. Sorry, your IP address is not connected within Italy, the system cannot process your request. Any idea on how to correct the problem. Thanks, Kieth Add Firefox to your browser identification list like so: KDE Control Centre (kcontrol)--> Internet & Network--> Web Browser--> Browser Identification. Click New, paste http://www.yalp.alice.it/tv/index.html?cha...p__tv_4_canale1 in the When browsing the following site box, select Firefox in the Use the following identification drop down list, click apply then see if it works. You can also get to the Browser Identification from within Konqueror by going to: Settings--> Configure Konqueror.

Kieth
What do you mean "in tail of address"?
ianw1974
I couldn't use it in Firefox, but check if it's configured to use some weird proxy that's not in Italy. If you're in Italy, then you should be able to see the channel. So am surprised Firefox was OK but not konqueror which meant I thought perhaps konqueror is configured to use a proxy. Kieth
Well, I don't think it's set up to use a proxy. It's set to "connect to the internet directly". I also tried "Automatically detect proxy configuration", but it gives the same error. In both cases, I deleted the cookies and cleared the cache before trying them. Any other ideas? Thanks, Kieth
ianw1974
Try: http://www.myipaddress.com in both Firefox and Konqueror and compare the results. I'm interested to find out why one works and the other doesn't if one is saying you're not in Italy. Although if you can find an Italian proxy server that is open for use, then configure this in konqueror and see if it works after that. http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist.php?port=&a...iability=#table this seems to show you one that you can connect and configure so check and test it even if you don't use it after that. I wouldn't suggest using it permanently, since you never know if they are capturing your information. I only recommend using a proxy that is guaranteed safe - the one I found I just googled, so I'm not to blame if you use it and something happens. So just use for the test :)
Kieth
Just for fun/information, I installed other browsers and tried to watch TV with Yalp!. As I already stated, with Firefox, no problem, and neither with midori. I get the same IP errore with Konqueror, Opera, and SeaMonkey. With all 5 at the site http://www.myipaddress.com/ the IP address is the same. I haven't yet tried the other web site, choosing a different proxy. I'll do it, then post the results. Kieth
OK, I tried the new proxy with konqueror. With the web site mentioned, they only had 1 Italian proxy. I configured konqueror, cleared the cache, deleted the cookies, checked to make sure I was using the new IP address with the web site you listed, then connected to Yalp!. I still received the same error: Errore Sorry, your IP address is not connected within Italy, the system cannot process your request. Kieth
I just tried SeaMonkey with the Italian proxy. Same error. Kieth
Kieth
I created another user, logged in as the new user, went to Yalp! and tried to watch TV, and no, I still get the same error message saying that my IP isn't in Italy. Kieth
Just for the fun of it, I logged in IceWM, instead of KDE, and tried Yalp! with konqueror, but I still received the same error, stating that my IP address isn't in Italy. theYinYeti
Is the default language the same for all your browsers? I mean: en-US, fr-BE, it-IT? Yves.
