DOlson
Hey buddy. You left IRC, so I went to my last resort... And I posted instead of PMing you because maybe someone else will benefit from this. Here are two RPMs you may like: http://mdkextras.by-a.com/gnomesword-0.7.5-1.i686.rpm http://mdkextras.by-a.com/sword-1.5.4-1.i686.rpm Alternate, slower, mirror here: http://aslan.no-ip.com/~dana/rpms/gnomeswo....7.5-1.i686.rpm http://aslan.no-ip.com/~dana/rpms/sword-1.....5.4-1.i686.rpm Note that there are no pretty icons in your Mandrake menus because I don't know how to fix those problems. If Mandrake would just use a standard menu, it'd all be fine. Anyhow, just run "gnomesword" and whatnot like you normally would. I don't know what you meant that no Mandrake users could compile GnomeSword... There must be something wrong with their computers or something. Either that, or they don't know anything about C/C++ and compiling software. In any case, no, I am not back, but I figured since you weren't in the channel, and all that, and others may benefit, I'd post it here. Time for bed. DragonMage
Thank you!!! This is basically what I need, DOlson. I really owe you big this time. Anyway, for those who wants pretty icons in gnomesword, just make symlinks from these directories to these directories 1. /usr/local/share/gnome to /usr/share/gnome 2. /usr/local/share/locale to /usr/share/locale 3. /usr/local/share/pixmaps to /usr/share/pixmaps Now, if you install the bibletime software from texstar, you may notice that gnomesword cannot find the bible modules. All you have to do is empty the directory in /usr/local/share/sword and make all symlinks from /usr/share/sword to /usr/local/share/sword. And for putting the icon in the menu, well.. that's what menudrake is for. Once again DOlson, thank you very much for this.. now I can do my project.
