DoctorKaos
Could someone suggest a nicely GUI'ed YouTube downloader rpm for M2006 ?
aphelion
If I understand you properly, you want something to download the video's from You Tube. If you use Firefox you can install the Download Helper Extension, and it will do that. http://www.downloadhelper.net/
{BBI}Nexus{BBI}
Or there's Miro: http://www.getmiro.com/
DoctorKaos
Thank you for your suggestions. For some reason, the Firefox extention does not install. As for Miro, I can't find it in the RPM format. The YouTube downloader I'm looking for MUST be fully GUI (ie, NOT command line), and It MUST be an RPM package (ie, NOT command line installation). Would anyone have any other suggestions which will satisfy the above conditions?

You MUST understand that support for Mandriva 2006 has ended a long time ago, and nobody is packaging current applications for it anymore... DownloadHelper will install with just a single browser click, and it will work for many sites- not just YouTube. It will also install in any Firefox version that's not too antique (it has installed fine for me under any Firefox 2.X release, as well as any Firefox 3 beta I've tried). There's also an analogous Opera widget, if you prefer using that browser: http://widgets.opera.com/widget/9402/1.0/ Edited April 13, 2008 by scarecrow

There are rpm packages of Miro for Mandriva 2008.0 & 2008.1.
Greg2
For some reason, the Firefox extention does not install. Which version of firefox are you using? From the downloadhelper.net/faq DownloadHelper works on Firefox 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0b4.You simply click on the install link. A dialog box will appear requesting to click the Install button. Then click the button. :)
