Usually with a cluster, one machine acts as the Virtual Server, and then you have two other machines - called the Real Servers, that have the programs installed on them. For example, you'd have one machine acting as the virtual server, and the two other machines would be running apache and acting as web servers. The virtual server would then spread the load across the two real servers. Cluster doesn't tell us much, better to say what you're actually wanting to achieve.
