scarecrow
Did you try running "alsaconf" as root? Preferrably after leaving your graphical environment, with say a "telinit 3".
TwoFace
Did you try running "alsaconf" as root?Preferrably after leaving your graphical environment, with say a "telinit 3". Thanks for advice. I entered system as root in console mode, ran the alsaconf. It said that all is OK, but after starting X I had again this message: Error while initializing the sound driver: device /dev/dsp can't be opened (no such file or directory) The sound server will continue, using the null output devise Any ideas?
