liquidzoo
Anyone know of a program that I can use to manipulate *.cr2 (cannon raw image) format files? I need to convert several I have into any other image format (png, jpg or tiff preferably)
scarecrow
I don't have a Canon digital camera, but I believe Digikam can handle those files. If not, a sure shot is the (freeware) IrfanView via wine (it works next to flawlessly- only minor visual glitches).
liquidzoo
digikam can't handle exporting them to another file format, unfortunately.
qandd
digikam can't handle exporting them to another file format, unfortunately. Yeah it can, mine does anyway. You may not have the plug in or something? Do you have the kipi plugins? I am using digikam 0.9.2 on Debian sid It can do the following Portable Bitmap Image PCX Image Portable Graymap Image X BitMap Image Truevision Targa Image PNG Image Portable Pixmap Image JPEG Image X PixMap Image Encapsulated PostScript Image BMP Image JPEG 2000 Image SGI Image (RGB) TIFF Image Edited September 1, 2007 by qandd
polemicz
Have you checked the gimp rawphoto plug-in? I use it with my Nikon D80. I use the gimp-dcraw plug-in for my system (Debian).
Greg2
There is also the ufraw-gimp plug-in, and I believe it has some options that are not available with dcraw-gimp.
