misfitpierce
Is there a program to convert video files into ready DVD format to burn into DVD inside Nero to play on my standard DVD player? Thanks.
Floyd
mencoder - MPlayer's movie encoder MEncoder is a movie encoder and is a part of the MPlayer package. http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/menc-feat-vcd-dvd.html Edited April 28, 2007 by Floyd
jaraeez
I also find DeVeDe to be an excellent choice - gui 'n' all ;)
Gowator
Reverse question ....? How about converting a DVD .iso file into AVI? Annoyingly I am missing one episode from a series.... can't find it alone anywhere but I have a DVD .iso but obviously mounting the iso just gives the video and audio folders? Anyway I can make avi's, even better just for the one episode I'm missing?
Floyd
Reverse question ....?How about converting a DVD .iso file into AVI? I have used (mencoder) via kmplayer to convert dvd.iso to .avi file.
theYinYeti
mencoder is indeed very good at conversions. I use it almost every day :) It is not suited however for actually making an ISO. For that I use dvdauthor, but any GUI front-end should do; according to jaraeez, DeVeDe seems to be good. Yves.

Cool... thx.. I now actually realised I can actually watch it direct in mplayer anyway :D but realised that from you saying I can use mencoder.... so it works pretty good...
