mindwave Posted April 10, 2007 Report Share Posted April 10, 2007 ok, this is too weird. i have a new 2gb flash mem dev. i can read and write to it all day long, but i cant SEE it in MCC for MOUNT points. which means i cant reformat or repartition it. any ideas? scarecrow Posted April 10, 2007 Report Share Posted April 10, 2007 The removable drives are managed by hal and (auto)mounted under /media/something - no need to mess HardDrake with them. To format/partition it, simply plug it, ignore the pmount prompt for mounting it, and then at a root console cfdisk /dev/sda (replace "sda" with the actual device node).
