Coz I have plan to install HylaFAX server and AVANTFAX but my modem is unknown by mandriva 2007 Model: AMBIENT MD5628D-L-A Please anyone can help me or anyone can recommend which modem support by linux... peckinpah Posted March 25, 2007 Report Share Posted March 25, 2007 Pretty much any modem that connects to the serial port of your PC should be automatically detected and configured. US Robotics ones work well, and there are lots of generic ones that work good as well I was going to give you a link to the $20 generic one I use, but since you are in the UK, I don't think the site (Newegg.com) would do you much good.
