hellfried
why do the fonts on certain website appear horrible in mandriva but great in fedora core 6? this is using firefox 2.0 in both distros. [moved from Software by spinynorman]
ianw1974
Try Edit/Preferences/Content and the Advanced button under Fonts. There is an option I think, something like "Allow webpages to choose their own fonts instead of my fonts". This could be why.
hellfried
that option is checked by default. still no good.
ianw1974
Try turning off, does it make a difference? Also, check what fonts are set up in Gnome, as Firefox is a GTK app, and therefore if the settings are weird in here, it will affect GTK apps. hellfried
thanks who would have thought that unchecking that option will correct the problem?
