bigbluec Posted November 9, 2006 Report Share Posted November 9, 2006 I installed Mandriva 2007 but it is very slow to boot up, takes at least 5 min from pressing the start button till I see the log-on screen. Thought this was suppose to be a faster bootup ?? Also everything seems to work fine but I just cant get an internet connection :( Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tyme Posted November 9, 2006 Report Share Posted November 9, 2006 the internet connection issue is likely related to your long boot up time. the system will wait for a very long time to try to get an IP address. I suggest starting a new thread in networking about your troubles, so that it can be thoroughly discussed there without sending this topic off-topic.
