4di Posted September 28, 2006 Report Share Posted September 28, 2006 when i start my computer at office , it appears lilo, i choose windows it works just fine , but when i choose linux it starts and after all the [ok] (in escape mode) when X should start ,it doen't , appears only a black screen, like my monitor doesn't know how to deal with it . i have this configuration : amd sempron 2200+ (1.49 ghz) 224mb ram maxtor 6y080L0 -80gb display via/s3g unichrome igp color 128 ram monitor plug and play 1024x768 85 hertz network adapter via rhine II fast ethernet adapter (i use data from windows:( ) what can i do ? ianw1974 Posted September 28, 2006 Report Share Posted September 28, 2006 Agree with ffi, sounds like your graphics isn't configured properly. Try with vesa and see if it's any better. 4di Posted September 28, 2006 Author Report Share Posted September 28, 2006 in console in linux failsafe i wrote XFdrake and unselect 3d hardware acceleration and know it works .... i will get any soon a grafic card that can support a 3d hard acc :) thank you all for help !
