dlink wireless router + printserver [solved]

My wireless router died the other day, and I am looking for a replacement. Unfortunately, this particular model (Dlink 724P+) is no longer availalble. Could you guys please share your experience, what is your experience with more recent products? The features I am looking for are:

Printserver which works with Linux (obviously)

Backward compatibility with 802.11b

Must support SSID broadcast off and WPA

MAC filtering

Decent firewall

Reasonably priced (of course)

I was reasonably happy with Dlink 724P+, it worked reasonably well with my Intel 2100 3BPro card+Linuxant driverloader, though the card did tend to loose connection time to time. I would prefer to stick to Dlink, but will consider other options of course.

Hi,

Taking your feature request one by one w.r.t DLink ADSL G604T Wireless Router

A:Printserver is i guess a more of a LAN issue,correct me if i am wrong :-)

B:This is 802.11 b/g compatible

C:It suppoorts SSID broadcast and WPA

D:It supports MAC filtering too

E:It has NAT & firewall embedded in it.

F:Price INR 4000(3 months ago)

I guess it will be priced well low in US/EUROPE.. just my guess.

PS: the only problem i am having with it is configuring port forwarding... but i guess that's the lack of effort on my side than the router ;-)

thanks,

rohit.

I have a D-LINK 504T which is OK as a router. I got around the firewall using filters, and now my ServGate does all the firewall work instead of the router. However, it doesn't have print server capability. I have a workstation with cups installed for this, but print servers are cool though, I should invest in one :D

It doesn't have wireless, but then I have a separate wireless access point. I know of Netgear DG834's which have wireless and 4 port router with firewall as well, but again, no print server as far as I know.
