I have downloaded it, on windows, and I have also downloaded the correct driver for my wireless card. Now what? I have looked through many guides and such, but none of them actually explain how to install ndiswrapper or anything. I apologise if I sound completely stupid, but today was my first venture into the world of linux.

First, set up your urpmi repositories using the easy urpmi link at the top of this page. Then do:

urpmi ndiswrapper

there are guides for ndiswrapper, and they explain it really well. Here is the main one:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawi...hp/Installation

you just have to continue from the ndiswrapper -i command to install the driver, and go from there.

Mandriva requires one additional modification, to /etc/modprobe.preload and add:

ndiswrapper

to the bottom of this file.

Note the urpmi solution is only going to work if you have some other connection to the Internet working.

unless of course ndiswrapper is on the CDs - which i thought it was
