Ixthusdan
If you have Mandrake 9.1rc1, do the following: 1) Install autoconf2.53 and automake1.6 from cd2 Do not uninstall autoconf 2.13 or automake1.4. Allow Mandrake to configure it all. I downloaded some rpms and messed up my machine, had to back track and fix it. Mandrake coordinates it all better than by hand. Figure that out! If you already knew this, please forgive my ignorance!! Speaking of ignorance, what do I do with it now that it launches. There are no cards, no apps, nothing that I can do. I see a screen where there should be some choices, but no choices. Do I launch it instead of kicker? How do I do that??
Guest c_m_f
no its not replacing kicker yet, it should have opened the test gui so you can add cards, if it hasnt try recompiling with an option enabling test gui, then once you have a card you can configure it not to open the test gui but still that cards. there is a plan to have a warning if it opens with no cards and to give the ability to strat cards but the config is new so that will be soon! anyway hope that helps! btw i cant help with errors as im not one of the coders, or even really part of the project, just a spectator! Hope people see the potential in all of this to replace kicker one day, but i dont really like the kmenu applet as its just an emulation of the current kmenu, i think implementing some thing along the lines of the one in the comcept shots would be much better!
