ilia_kr Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 Hi, i'm new to linux gaming and wine and i have a problem: I've installed Diablo on mandriva2006 using 'wine /mnt/cd-rom/bla-bla-bla/setup.exe' . Now, when i try to play the game i can hear the sound but i get no picture... only intro movies. Please help, this is my first try with wine! ianw1974 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 I tend to use the windows method, because you'll have settings within wine that tell you what drive letter has been assigned to your cdrom, so: wine "d:\path_to\game.exe" the quotes are important, so use these. ianw1974 Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 I'm not sure, cedega is the best choice for playing games. I would check wine compatibility list for the game, or visit cedega's website for more info. Sometimes though the issues you experienced are normally resolved when you use the proper path, rather than the linux path to launch the program.
