I removed 8.20.8 ok, but the problem is installing the new ones: [Message] Kernel Module : Trying to install a precompiled kernel module. [Message] Kernel Module : Precompiled kernel module version mismatched. [Error] Kernel Module : No kernel module build environment - please consult readme. rpm -qa |grep kernel gives me : kernel-2.6.12.12mdk-1-1mdk ati-kernel-2.6.12-12mdk-8.16.20-1mdk kernel-source-2.6-2.6.12-15mdk I'm running Mandriva 2006 powerpack x86_64, any help is greatly apprieciated. ianw1974 Posted February 3, 2006 Report Share Posted February 3, 2006 You may find you'll have to upgrade your kernel from 2.6.12.12, since the kernel source got updated, and the 2.6.12.12 kernel source is unavailable for download now.
