listing NFS shares on the command line

hi all anyone can answer me this doubt, I want to know what command line is used when mandriva looks for NFS servers in a network

 

when I go to mcc > mountpoint > NFS server > Search for Servers but from the command line

I never had an issue with mandriva NFS Server Search, I just want it to learn from the command line. You mentioned that I should use showmount [host] however this didn't seem to work. I got the following return:

$ showmount  -a 192.168.1.101
mount clntudp_create: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive

 

This is odd since I can mount using mcc and also I can ping the IP with no issue. Maybe it was because I didn't assigned a hostname.

# showmount -a 192.168.1.10

All mount points on 192.168.1.10:

192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0:/media/sda1

192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0:/media/sdb1

192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0:/media/sdc1

192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0:/media/sdc1/

192.168.1.11:192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

192.168.1.20:192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

192.168.1.2:192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

 

works for me , perhaps its hacked not to work in mandriva so you need to use the MCC?

works on my Mandriva LE 2005, so if JZA just cut and paste the coded portion, and that was the actual command, might be that it was only a typo error, like an additional space after the command showmount
