spider200 Posted December 16, 2005 Report Share Posted December 16, 2005 i recently installed mandriva 2005 and configured kppp, and the connection to the internet is fine, but i can't log onto the interent from any of the browsers, naturally i tried to configure in mandriva control center, but something is wrong because when i try and create a connection i go through the steps and when the computer is trying to connect to the modem it never accomplishes this, and the connection is never made ??? what would be the proper steps to creating the connection and any suggestions on why this isn't working ??? thank you [moved from Software by spinynorman] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd check your security level, firewall (probably causing the problem as it is probably configured for ethernet) and that you have the correct dns servers in /etc/resolv.conf Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
