BT Home Network 1200

Just downloaded and installed Mandriva and I hoping to get the internet up and running on it, but I have to go through a home network which uses an adapter which plugs into the USB port. Linux is recognising it as a scanner?! Is there any way of getting it working? I'll provide further details if people need them.

Thanks

Does your BT ADSL have anything other than a USB adapter? If it has an ethernet connection, you'd be better using this.

But as bob says, post specs of PC, and more info on the ADSL router/modem.
