A friend recently switched his monitor from a standard CRT to the ACER LCD mentioned in the title. It works in windoz but not in his Mandrake Linux 10.1

The Acer website makes no mention of a driver for windoz or linux. Since this LCD model went on special recently ($174), I assume many people bought it and some might be using Linux. Anyone got it working properly? If so, which Linux version are you using and did you have to get an RPM for it or fiddle with anything else please? I have told him to make sure the refresh rate is set to 75 and the max colors is 24 bits. Is there anything else he should look at?

Thanks.

Maybe the command could be drakx11 now, in there you can choose your monitor and in this list there is a section called generic monitors, there you will find generic flatpanels, just choose the one with the correct resolution and it should work
