Squid

Newbie here...

I finnaly sat down and got squid running. I use it so that when I am VPN'd into work I can set my Windows/Firefox proxy to that machine and all external requests will go through me instead of up and out the corporate firewall.

Now, it is working, but I went to an https page (amex corp card) and I received an error.

I guess I don't know how to set it up properly to allow this access. I do not completly understand the 'proxy', but I think I need to either set a tunnel or set a certificate on my machine so that it can authorize the data, completely unsure how to do what I want to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(I have shorewall turned off currently, behind my router and not much opened yet. Want to get everything working then start the firewall back up)
