finlay Posted February 4, 2003 Report Share Posted February 4, 2003 Ever since I installed MD9.0 - which seems eons ago! - I have been getting fairly regular lockups of keyboard and mouse when I switch on the monitor in the morning. (I leave the machine running and am in K desktop but switch off monitor). I've tried the various SysRq key combinations but the only ones that work are Alt-SysRq-e and Alt-SysRq-b which means the OS still has to go through the whole fsck process. Getting a bit sick of it. It doesn't happen all the time but regularly enough to piss me off. Never happened with earlier versions of MD and I haven't upgraded any hardware. Machine is 850Gb AMD with 500 RAM, Rage 128 Pro AGP 4x. Monitor is a cheap iiyama Vision Master 1402. Is this a hardware problem or is it a bug?
