ffi
I really can´t figure out how to give a normal user write access with captive, root is able to read/write but users can just read....
scarecrow
Follow a usual remedy: Create a new usergroup named say "ntfs", and then change permissions on your ntfs volume, and add yourself to the "ntfs" group... (logout and relogin required to apply). And anyway, "kdesu krusader" or a root Midnight Commander aren't such a security risk... scarecrow
For the record, I have just installed the static build of Captive-NTFS on Arch Linux 0.7.1. It works just fine, no problems with partitions larger than 128GB, and its much faster than before. The installation is extremely easy for anyone. But since the improved performance is due to FUSE, on which now its based, one needs kernel 2.6.14 or newer, and Mandriva is not there yet.
