qeldroma
In the moment my system is working well under LM9. But i got a new board with the NForce-chipset and want to upgrade. Are there any things i'll have to do BEFORE i grade it up? Can i add the kernel patch AFTER upgrading or MUST i do it before, perhaps to make him find the ide-controllers? illogic-al
If it were me, I download all the patches etc. you'll probably need and then install the board. Then I'd run the mandrake installation disk and use the upgrade feature so that the hardware (IRQs blah, nforce2 chip) would be detected. It's not necessary but I found that it made things easier to config. (I did this when I upgraded to my ECS K7S5A).
