ianw1974
No problems with printing, only it all comes out grey, rather than black. Am using the cups drivers for the printer, as it was detected fine, but just can't figure out how to print black. The only options are colour or greyscale. Windows is fine, so I know it's not that the ink is running out.
spinynorman
www.linuxprinting.org has notes on other drivers you might try, but they don't look that promising...

Weird thing is how you can only set colour or greyscale. Usually is black and white or colour :P ! I might have to resign myself to a new HP printer, as these seem to work rather well and Canon has a severe lack of Linux support!
theYinYeti
I don't know if this will help... From http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/p_Supported_Printers.php3 : "Printer Model: Canon BJC-2100, Driver: bjc-4300" Yves.
scarecrow
Cups support for Canon printers is laughable (at best). Did you try the commercial Turboprint driver, to see if you get color? (the unregistered version also prints a watermark on paper).
ianw1974
I didn't think of that to be honest, but I can obtain and give it a go. Will connect up to the printer later, and see how I get on trying a few options.
