gjtomli
So I need more of your help. I am trying to get a USB CF card reader to mount when I place a card in it. Is this impossible with Linux. I was using Xandros and it worked now I am on 10.2 and cannot seem to figure out how to mount it? Any Ideas? Thanks!!!
devries
There is no need for you to mount the card: Mandriva auto mounts it. Just plug it in and it should work.

falolaf
It should apear in /mnt after a second or two There should also popup an icon on the desktop Edited June 7, 2005 by falolaf
gjtomli
So if you set up your DVD/CD/Zip...whatever to automount it should act like a windows right. Like you put a CD in and MS will spin it up and read the file index so when you click on the device it will be right there. Is this how automount is supposed to work with mandriva? I am still have to manually mount it or make a device icon on the desktop and then doubleclick it to get it to mount...is this normal or am I missing the boat? devries
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Automount-1.html Yes you put in a data cd (music cd don't get mounted)/dvd, and you can immidiately browse the contents (with for example konqueror). The cd/dvd is located under /mnt)
gjtomli
Now is there a way to get, for example a data cd to auto mount and open konquoror?

spinynorman
gjtomli - I've merged your two threads here. Please don't start another thread on the same topic - it causes confusion.
