devries
K3b has some backup options and there are a lot of commandline tools like: http://openfacts.berlios.de/index-en.phtml?title=lxdvdrip Good luck.
Guest justenjoyin
What programs would you recommend for dvd backup with mandriva (alternatives to dvd decrypter/dvd shrink?) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try K9copy very similar to dvd shring and I have made several backups with it. There are no helps with it you just have to do by trial and error.
scarecrow
I gotta agree- k9copy (last version is AFAIK 1.0.1b) is mighty good, especially for non technical users/windows migrates which aren't familiar with CLI. No docs though (as justenjoyin already said), so you either trust the defaults, or have some DVDRW handy.
Gul Dukat
I'd have to say k9copy or DVDshrink. Both of which you can install with easy urpmi. And yes I know. But there is also a program called DVDshrink for Linux. Lookes quite different from the windows program. My personal favorite is still k9copy though.
