purefan
hello! Im using Mandrake 10.1 Community release. I have a cdwriter (Benq 48x16x48) which I know its mounted as cdrom and I have a DVDReWriter (LiteOn) which I know should be mounted as cdrom2. Why this name and not DVDrom? i dont know.. in my desktop I have 2 icons (for the cdrom and the cdrom2), when I right-click the cdrom and choose mount it works, and I can see the files and work with it. When I right-click the cdrom2 and choose mount it doesnt work, and displays the following error message: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdd,or too many mounted file systems Please check that the disk is entered correctly sure thing the disc is properly inserted and that it is a non-blank disc. as for the fs type I dont know what it is or how to fix it... Help please!! I want to see my dvd movies here... By the way, I installed the MPlayer and is working fine --> I can play files... thanks :D
devries
Mandrake uses supermount (ie. it automatically mounts cdroms (no need to mount music cds) and dvds. Just type mplayer dvd:// (or if you like a gui open gmplayer)
scarecrow
Can you post your /etc/fstab here? BTW audio CD's are not mountable in the traditional way, as they contain a RAW filesystem.
