A directory called install_flash_player_7_linux is created. Navigate to this directory. - From the command line, type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. The installer will instruct you to shut down your browser(s). - Once the installation is complete, the plug-in will be installed in your Mozilla browser. To verify, choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser's menu. theo Posted May 12, 2005 Report Share Posted May 12, 2005 + for JRE (Java) I had a little problem; to resolve it I had to create a link in the /usr/lib directory named i386 that points to the /usr/java/jre1.5.0_02/lib/i386 directory; just works for me. NitramBelac Posted May 12, 2005 Author Report Share Posted May 12, 2005 (edited) From the command line, type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know that.. but if I type ls Desktop/flash then press enter then type ./flashplayer-intaller it doesn't do anything... if I type dir after typing ls Desktop/flash it shows me as if I'm still in the home directory it'll say Desktop TMP and if I type ls Desktop then type ls flash to go in the flash directory it will just say no such file or directory.. theo Posted May 12, 2005 Report Share Posted May 12, 2005 well ... step by step ... 1/ go in the directory where is your install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz file 2/ in command line type: tar xzf install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz (so easy in konqueror ...) 3/ the directory install_flash_player_7_linux will be created 4/ go in this directory: cd install_flash_player_7_linux 5/ run the installer (as root): ./flashplayer-installer voilà.
