I found your post, that didnt help. But no matter. I have decided to reinstall.

Now I have a diffrent question, if I burn the stuff in:

file:/home/ziggy/.thunderbird/******.default will that save my email??????

I was thinking not formating my Home partition, but, I did this on the kids PC and it really screwed things.....

I am happy to report, I reinstalled, and with a bit of finaggling I got the 66.29 drivers installed........

Please dont ask how, cause I am not sure.......

I reinstalled also on my test machine, and it went off without a hitch, but when it came to my PC, the hoops I had to jump threw........wew.....

The above post helped a bit, but like I said, I am not sure what I did to get it to work.

On the test machine, I uninstalled the driver and the nvidia-kernel with MCC, then installed the kernel-source, then went too init 3, and installed the driver and BANG it worked.

This machine was a bit more complicated, I started to take notes on what steps I did here, but I got a bit frustrated and, well.......heh

So, a big thankyou to everyone who helped/tryed to help........ :thanks::thanks:
