Hi.

I am trying to configure Radeon X300 to use dual-head mode. I have two identical Dell 2001fp monitors with DVI inputs. My Radeon X300 came with two DVI outputs, so I connected each of them to the two 2001fp. I use Xorg 6.8.2 and 2.6.8.1-12mdk kernel. Following is my xorg.conf file

I tried this configuration but the dual head does not work. It only shows one screen and the other one is blank. If I enable Xinerama option, then it shows exact replica of one screen to the other, but I cannot use the two screen independently.

Can anyone help please?

Thank you.

Have a look at this link: https://lg3d-core.dev.java.net/etc/XF86Config-4.talin-single

it lists a config. The lines I think you'll be interested in are:

Option "DesktopSetup" "0x00000000" # Single -or- Dual Head

then check the ServerLayout section at the bottom, to choose one of the Dual Head modes.

I've not got this card, so can't check and test to see if it works or not, but hope it helps!!
