Guest Vertigo
I recently put wine onto my Mandrake 10.0 system, but it never seems to work. I was trying to install starcraft, but when I try to run the install file, it says Starting Wine down at the bottom, but it doesn't actually start. Eventually the message disappears and nothing has happened. Am I doing this wrong or am I missing something?
adolfix
Wine runs on my Mandrakelinux 10.1. Tanking into account this and the description of your message, I would say that your problem comes from a deficiency of memory (RAM). How much Mo of memory has your computer ? Ciao. Gowator
wine is really tricky..... for the setup you need to run a little util (winesetup I think) personally I am impatient and I get it working with notepad or IE max then can't be bothered. I know it can work, I have seen people using it but it takes a bit of determination first time! Just like linux really :D
