aRTee Posted February 28, 2005 Report Share Posted February 28, 2005 Disconnect the flash reader. Boot the machine. Then insert the memory card _before_ connecting the reader. Connect the reader. aRTee Posted February 28, 2005 Report Share Posted February 28, 2005 Oh, before I forget: if you use KDE on Mandrakelinux 10.1, make sure you do the updates - there are some bugs in the base install that cause loads of issues with usb storage devices and KDE... The zarb.org site is the official one, but I already noticed our mirror was more up to date last week...! As for the updates via the command line: this doesn't show you which packages are available and whether it's a bugfix, security or feature update, but anyway, man urpmi should help you out, and I think the command should be: urpmi --update --auto --auto-select Hope this helps.
