SK_pt
Hi, I am going to buy a PCI wireless card, still checking compatibilities with many differnet ways, about prism45, ndiswrpaper, etc.etc. My question is, KDE have this application, cool application KWiFiManager, will this application work with ndiswrapper? I mean, will I have to setup and run it only in command line mode because it is a "emulation" of the driver from the manufacturer? thanks SK
Steve Scrimpshire
Hmmmm...it doesn't work for me with ndiswrapper. It seems like it is only looking at lo, eth0, and eth1: This is KWiFiManager, version is 1.0.2Initializing AccessPoint WHOIS database... Autodetecting...[ lo ] [ eth1 ] [ eth0 ] Warning: Driver for device eth0 has been compiled with version 16 of Wireless Extension, while this program is using version 14. Some things may be broken... Found! KCrash: Application 'kwifimanager' crashing... But, it could just be crashing for me because of my other pcmcia card that it sees first.
