Darkelve
Out of Order - 'Classic' (Point&Click) adventure game If you enjoy this game, also check out: - Flight of the Amazon Queen (on the SuSe CD's) and Beneath a Steel Sky (on the SuSe CD's) - Monkey Island Series, Day of the Tentacle (both can be played with Scummvm, which is on the SuSe CD's) From the website: Ever woken up in the middle of the night to find you've been kidnapped... and so's your bedroom? Ever had to fend for yourself in the face of strangely hypnotic music, alien doctors, talking computers a-plenty and half-finished bathrooms? Ever found something unpleasant in a burger? If so, Out Of Order should play like any other day in your life. Otherwise, it's an experience not to be missed. You can get it from here: http://outoforder.adventuredevelopers.com/ Works: 4/5 (Playable with some minor issues) Known issues: sound does not work. Reviews indicate the sound and music in the game are bad, however, so maybe you're better of without it! :P Otherwise, it seems fully functional. Instructions 1. Download the installer from their website 2. Open a terminal (e.g. Konsole or Xterm) 3. Navigate to the directory you downloaded the OOO (Out of Order) installer cd /home/username/the_folder_OOO_is_in 4. Install the game by typing: wine OOO_full.exe 5. Navigate to the folder where wine has installed the executable: cd /home/username/.wine/fake_windows/Program\ Files/Games/Out\ Of\ Order/ 6. Run the executable: wine Out\ Of\ Order.exe That's all! papaschtroumpf
Haven't played this kind of games in a while, maybe I should give them a try. I think I'll give Beneath a Steel Sky a try.
Darkelve
Okay, I finished Out of Order! Darkelve's Verdict: - Fully playable with Wine ! - Downside(s): no sound or music (but like I said according to reviews sound&music are not 'all that' anyway)
Qchem
Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen are both available to download from the scummvm website - in both talky and non-talky versions.
