Hi

I just installed Mandrake 10.1 CE

and I tried to set up easy urpmi

after I went to http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/ get the command line:

urpmi.addmedia plf ftp://ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/plf/mandrake/10.1 with synthesis.hdlist.cz

urpmi.addmedia main ftp://ftp.phys.ttu.edu/pub/mandrakelinux/...i586/media/main with media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz

urpmi.addmedia contrib ftp://ftp.phys.ttu.edu/pub/mandrakelinux/...6/media/contrib with media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz

urpmi.addmedia jpackage ftp://ftp.phys.ttu.edu/pub/mandrakelinux/.../media/jpackage with media_info/synthesis.hdlist.cz

then I copy and paste to the console:

[root]# urpmi.addmedia plf ftp://ftp.planetmirror.com/pub/plf/mandrake/10.1 with synthesis.hdlist.cz

added medium plf

and then it just stand there like forever (hours)

Anyone can tell me what's wrong? I check the ftp site, they are accessible.

I'm behind a firewall, does it have anything to do with this?

Thanks a lots

oh but

Mandrake Control Centre.........Security.........Firewall

It said:

Which service would you like to allow the Internet to connect to?

Everything (no firewall) ticked

I think it's not my firewall but the University's one, I'm using Internet from my University network. ...

But since I can access HTTP way and download the rpm files, I think I can manually install what I need right?
