I_NEED_HELP Posted November 11, 2004 Report Share Posted November 11, 2004 (edited) Help I have just installed mandrake 10.1 on my laptop. I have w ireless crad i want to ge working. It is edimax ew 7106pc which is based on a realtek 8180 chipset. I have installed ndiswrapper-0.11 from source. I then downloaded the realtek drivers and installed them using: ndiswrapper -i file.inf This has added it succesfully. I then try modprobe ndiswrapper which proceeds with out throwing out any errors however typing dmesg there is the following error at the end. ndiswrapper version 0.8 loaded ndiswrapper: loadndiswrapper failed (256) Why will modprobe not load ndiswrapper. Any help will be appreciated. [edit] After rebooting modprobe loads ndiswrapper, however ndiswrapper does not appear to load the drivers for my card and i have no wireless links ndiswrapper -l shows net8180 driver present, hardware present Edited November 11, 2004 by I_NEED_HELP Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
