Urza9814 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Share Posted November 4, 2004 wow...my decision on paying for cedega was hanging on that demo...and I must say...that demo makes installing win98 games on winXP seem like 'the good 'ol days'...horrid...the install program was INSANELY slow, almost finished...stopped...closed...another one opened...almost finished...closed...that was with Red Alert...which is supposed to run well...Play button never appeared. Ran another test of it with Roller Coaster Tycoon (not because I wanna play it, but because it was the first game I checked that came up as running well and I know it'll run on this comp)...the installer hasn't started yet, and since it's been a while and my CPU usage graph has calmed down, I'm guessing it never will Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fangbite Posted November 7, 2004 Report Share Posted November 7, 2004 Having trouble using it. Could only install it via root (they said you shouldn't) and counterstrike hanged then wouldn't boot. fangbite Posted November 9, 2004 Report Share Posted November 9, 2004 First glance at the demo turned me away from using Cedegra. After a little toying I'm starting to like it. I can play games as well if not better in linux than windows (and thats with the annoying flashing cedega demo icon flashing).
